Job Description:
We are looking for experienced E&M Inpatient Medical Coders to join our growing medical coding team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Evaluation & Management (E&M) coding for inpatient services, with a solid understanding of clinical documentation, coding guidelines, and compliance standards. Candidates must hold a valid certification from AAPC or AHIMA and should be capable of ensuring accurate and compliant coding practices.

Responsibilities:
Review and analyze inpatient medical records and physician documentation.
Assign accurate E&M codes for inpatient encounters based on clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
Follow payer-specific rules and regulatory coding standards.
Maintain high levels of coding accuracy and productivity.
Identify documentation gaps and work with internal teams for clarification.
Perform coding audits and quality checks when required.
Skills:
Experience in IP DRG coding.
Familiarity with coding edits and compliance standards.
Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work independently and meet productivity targets.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of E&M coding guidelines and inpatient documentation.
Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience with EHR systems and coding tools.
Education Requirements:
Certification Mandatory: CPC, CCS, CIC, or equivalent (AAPC / AHIMA).
Experience Requirements:
Experience: 2–5 years in Inpatient E&M coding.
