We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – HCC to lead and oversee the HCC coding operations at our Kochi locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding with a focus on HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category), team management, and operational excellence. This role requires strategic thinking, people management, client interaction, and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end HCC coding operations.
- Ensure adherence to client SLAs and quality benchmarks (Accuracy, Productivity, TAT).
- Lead a team of coders, TLs, and QAs—providing performance feedback and coaching.
- Coordinate with HR and Recruitment to build capacity as per project needs.
- Conduct periodic audits and ensure compliance with coding guidelines and standards (AAPC/AHIMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Training, IT, etc.) to resolve operational issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Handle client communication, reporting, and escalations with professionalism.
- Ensure coding resources are certified (CPC/CRC) and well-trained in HCC methodologies.
- Monitor productivity, generate MIS reports, and present business insights to senior leadership.
- Manage cost-effective staffing, reduce attrition, and maintain high employee engagement.
Skills:
- Experience in managing multi-location teams.
- Exposure to US healthcare clients and HIPAA compliance.
- Working knowledge of tools like Optum, EPIC, 3M, or other coding platforms.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of HCC coding guidelines, risk adjustment models, and CMS compliance.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel between Kochi and Pune if required.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences/Healthcare or related field (B.Sc., BPT, BDS, BHMS, etc.)
- Certification: CPC / CRC (AAPC or AHIMA) – Mandatory
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in medical coding, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
